Founded in 1917 by pioneer Samuel Hill, the museum sits above the Columbia River Gorge, with expansive views across the river and surrounding landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The museum also holds more than 3,500 objects from Hill\u2019s personal collection that reflect the Indigenous heritage of the region, including the histories and continuing presence of the 14 tribes and bands of the Yakama Nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IN A LANDSCAPE concert takes place outdoors adjacent to The Maryhill Overlook, a site-specific sculpture by architect Brad Cloepfil, at the edge of the museum grounds.
